Scope of work
Styling Convergence & Feasibility
- Perform style convergence activities ensuring compatibility with target fit & finish requirements.
- Conduct packaging feasibility studies, including identification of major constraints impacting styling.
- Validate CAS data feasibility through concept and feasibility layouts.
- Develop and validate master sections in alignment with styling and packaging requirements.
- Prepare and submit the preliminary packaging feasibility
Concept & CAD Development
- Develop parametric concept CAD models for plastic panels as per OEM CAD standards.
- Define part layouts at vehicle assembly, sub-assembly, and part levels.
- Propose part split strategies along with recommended joining techniques.
- Define mounting and locating schemes ensuring dimensional stability and ease of assembly.
Assembly & Manufacturing Feasibility
- Conduct Design for Assembly (DFA) studies for plastic panels
- Define assembly sequence and loading strategy for vehicle build.
- Perform tooling feasibility assessments (DFM) including draft analysis, undercuts, and parting logic.
- Support Tooling Kick-Off (TKO) activities with required CAD and feasibility inputs.
- Develop micro-level project plans aligned with OEM milestones.
Serviceability, Cost & Optimization Studies
- Perform serviceability and maintenance (SAM) feasibility studies.
- Develop weight and cost optimization proposals for plastic components.
- Prepare LHD and RHD commonization strategies with feasibility assessment.
Digital Validation & Knowledge Management
- Perform clash and clearance analysis with battery, chassis, and electrical components for every CAD release.
- Capture lessons learned and ensure implementation in subsequent design iterations
